7 years ago on July 7th, this company officially became an LLC. 7 years of literal blood, sweat and tears. Entrepreneurship isn’t for the weak. There’s a reason why most businesses don’t make it their first year, their second, their fifth. And somehow I’ve made it to 7. I’d say it’s a combination of hard work, a desire to #NeverEverQuit (if you don’t know, I’m a huge Texas Rangers fan and this was their mantra last year), and lots and lots of luck.

I think about all the times I wanted to give up. I’ve been stuck in an attic, crouched in a weird position trying to run wires with temperatures over 110 degrees all while wondering if what I do is still worth it. There are times I’ve spent hours troubleshooting, going through headaches, just to get something up and running.

But all it takes is seeing a client truly appreciate what you do. Sometimes it’s as small as getting a device to work that they’ve struggled with for years. Sometimes it’s finishing a huge whole home project and seeing excitement when they first put on a movie in their media room or can listen to music in multiple rooms without dragging a speaker around. Those are the days that keep me going, push me to get better at what I do.

To my clients, thank you for your business. I wouldn’t be here without you. There are dozens of options for companies just like mine and I really hope that I’ve exceeded all of your expectations. I try to go above and beyond by doing all the little things right, taking the extra time to make everything look perfect and most of all, work correctly. I appreciate all of the referrals, those are the best compliments you can give.

Lastly, I couldn’t have done it without my family and friends. It’s been really rocky at times, and I can’t even describe my appreciation for all of your support. Many of you helped me in times when I didn’t even believe in myself and for that I’m very grateful.

Here’s to another year.

  1. Hey Ryan,
When I move back to Hawaii next year, I want you to install a big screen TV on a wall mount at my new place!
